Ghanaian musicians go through hell in acquiring Visa for international shows- Augustine Mark (Video)

Veteran Artist manager Augustine Mark has lamented over how Ghanaian musicians go through stress to acquire visa for international performances because there is a notion that “they may not return to Ghana”

The artist manager recounts how the various embassies bounce his artists visa applications and frustrates their efforts to link up with the entire world through live international concerts and festivals.

In an interview with Nii Attractive (Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah) of GhanaCreativearts.com, Augustine Mark who has just returned from a trip with one of his artist, Wisa Greid, revealed that they were supposed to embark on the trip with popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale but most of his crew members were denied visa making Shatta Wale unable to attend the festival.

“Shatta Wale was supposed to be on the show but they gave him visa and refused some of the crew members”

He is therefore urging the president His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to intervene through the Foreign Affairs Ministry
