The Damsel Foundation as part of its quarterly capacity building programme for young women in Africa embarked on a training for the students of the Tema Manhean Secondary Technical School last Friday, 14th July 2017.

The training was aimed at helping young women build a good personal brand and to aspire to take up more challenging roles than the gender defined roles in our society.

The students numbering about 600 were trained in the need to develop a personal development plan which is critical to their growth and career path by Miss Emmanuella Korkor Tetteh,the Deputy Registrar at Mountcrest University.

They were further challenged by the Guest Trainer, Minister David Mills, an HR and Leadership expert to dream big, set their priorities right and be strategic in their thinking (among many others).

In a breakout session with the young ladies, Miss Patricia Addy urged them to be cautious about what they put out on social media. The world being global now, one must be mindful of what they put out there.

Miss Modesta Nsowah, called on the young ladies to exercise a lot of discretion with regard to their sexuality and prioritise their careers over sex

The Damsel Foundation seeks to run series of training programmes at regular intervals on self-discovery and the need to understand the challenges of women from different perspectives in our contemporary world. The Foundation will engage top-notch women who have achieved high successes in their careers, professions, families and have made impact in their societies.

The Damsel Foundation came into existence through the harbored vision of Beatrice Annangfio Feehi, the Executive Director of the Foundation .
