Organizers of international Kenkey Festival have announced that the second edition edition of the Ghana Kenkey Festival, will come off on 4th March, 2017 at Mantse Agbona, Jamestown.

Speaking to a section of the media in Accra, the PRO of the festival, Mr. Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah popularly known as Nii Attractive , said this year’s festival is going to be more spectacular than the maiden edition (last year).

According to him, they learnt a lot from the first edition and to make this year’s edition better, they have decided to add up few things and also take off some things which did not help in the first edition.

As to which musicians and celebrities are expected to perform or grace the occasion, he said, just as last year, the musicians and celebrities were not disclosed to the public before the event, the organizers are still maintaining that culture of ‘mystery’ to the event.

“We will have more surprise art, cultural troop, and musicians that will perform on that day. Fans would also have the opportunity to eat and learn how to make different types of Kenkey” Nii Attractive said.

The Chief Organizer Mr Manuel Nii Martey Mensah also in a seperate chat with Ghanacreativearts.com, added that as Ghana celebrates her 60th birth day this year, they urge Ghanaians to eat and promote local food. “We are promoting and urging Ghanaians to eat Kenkey. We advise every Ghanaian to promote Ghanaian food and also eat it” he ended.
