President of the Textiles, Garments and Leather Employees Union, Mr Abraham Koomson has insinuated that the African design prints that are worn by the president His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo are all pirated designs printed in China.

He made the statement on Asempa FM’s programme Eko sii s3en, monitored by Ghanapoliticsonline.com on Wednesday afternoon whilst elaborating on the issues that are causing the collapse of the Ghanaian textile industry.

Talking about their upcoming demostration , he said that, they are demonstrating to mainly demand that the mandate of the anti-textile piracy task force is renewed immediately.

He denied allegations that the union has planned this demonstration to discredit the ruling New Patriotic Party Government.
