Actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson caused quite the ruckus with the news of the birth of her first child in Accra, a few months after rumors of her pregnancy had finally died down.

The actress had recently kept a low profile, and had indicated that the rumors about journey into motherhood were just media platforms causing a stir.

However on Sunday, October 29, news broke that the ‘House of Gold’ actress had delivered a baby girl at an unknown hospital in Accra, with the father of the child beside her.

One of the industry giants who has worked closely with Yvonne over the years, has expressed shock at the news. Film producer and director Abdul Salam Mumuni of the famed Venus Film Productions, said he was shocked to find out about the birth of Yvonne’s child, she had apparently denied the rumors when he had asked her previously.

Speaking to Joy News’ MzGee, the film producer stated: “Oh wow, I have never heard it, I asked Yvonne back some time ago and she denied it so it is even a shock to me.” It recently emerged that the father of Yvonne’s baby is a London-based fashion photographer.

Yvonne Nelson has remained quiet even as the news is out, but recently posted a photo of herself showing off her post-baby glow.
