You said we’re sitting on money yet we’re suffering under your government — Yvonne Nelson to Akufo-Addo

Yvonne Nelson, a Ghanaian actress, film producer and director has chastised the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government for failing to fulfill his campaign promises.

One of Akufo-Addo’s catchphrases during his campaign in 2016 was “Y3te sika so 3nso 3komo de y3n” to wit, “We have abundant mineral deposits, but we suffer.”

According to the famous actress in a tweet seen by Modernghana News, the President’s comment was just a plot to deceive Ghanaians into voting for him.

She said the situation has worsened twice in his tenure.

She further stated that Ghanaians will no longer sit aloof and watch government deceive them because they deserve better.

“We are SITTING on GOLD, but we are suffering in Nana Akufo-Addo’s voice.

“Deceiving us? My Generation? We won’t sit and watch you guys play with our future and that of our kids. Ghanaians deserve better,” she shared.

She stressed, “we are fed up with this hardship….very obvious this government has gotten all it wanted and is ignoring the people (Ghanaians) @NAkufoAddo.”

The multi-award-winning actress noted that this government’s campaign promises during the 2016 election have become a folktale (Ananses3m).

“One thing about this government ……they don’t care….. but, they care about Power and the prestige that comes with it. we will start making y’all care. Your campaign promises …… all ANANSESEM,” the end of her posts.
