Visa Waiver Agreement Signed Between Ghana and Malawi Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Malawi have formalized a Visa Waiver Agreement, aiming to boost bilateral relations and strengthen existing cooperation.

 

The agreement, which came into effect on February 7, 2024, facilitates visa-free travel for holders of ordinary, diplomatic, and service passports between the two nations.

 

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration made the announcement, highlighting the significance of this accord in promoting ease of travel and fostering stronger ties between Ghana and Malawi. Under the terms of the agreement, travelers are permitted to transit through, depart from, and stay in the territories of both countries for a cumulative period of up to ninety (90) days within a calendar year.

 

 

This landmark agreement is poised to facilitate increased people-to-people interactions, trade, and tourism between Ghana and Malawi. It also reflects the commitment of both nations to deepen their diplomatic relations and collaboration across various sectors.

 

The Ministry advises the traveling public to take note of this development and familiarize themselves with the provisions of the visa waiver agreement to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel between Ghana and Malawi.
