Musician Edem Granted GH¢50,000 Bail for Allegedly Knocking and Killing an Unknown Woman

The Kaneshie District Court has granted Hiplife musician Edem bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with two sureties for allegedly causing the death of a woman through a vehicular accident.

The court has instructed the musician to reappear on February 15, 2024, for the continuation of the case.

As per a report from Graphic Online, followed by Journalist and Blogger Attractive Mustapha , Edem, who was a guest on a television program at Abeka junction on Saturday night into Sunday dawn, was involved in the incident while driving on the George Walker Bush Highway around 2 a.m. last Saturday.

The court documents reveal that Edem was driving an unregistered Honda Touring vehicle at the time of the accident, resulting in the death of an as-yet-unidentified woman.

Edem faced charges in court today, presided over by Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, including two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm.

The musician’s plea was not recorded during the proceedings.
