Kidnapped Church of Pentecost Deacon Returns Home Safely in South Africa”

Information available to  us reveals that Elder Emmanuel Cudjoe, the National Deacon of the Church of Pentecost (CoP) in South Africa, who was kidnapped, has returned home alive.

Apostle A. Yiadom-Boakye, the National Head Pastor in South Africa, joyfully exclaimed, “God has done it, dear saints. By the grace of God, Elder Emmanuel Cudjoe, the National Deacon, has returned home alive. God has worked another miraculous intervention. Thank you for your prayers.”

During a church service on Sunday, October 29, 2023, members of the Johannesburg branch of the Ghanaian Church of Pentecost were robbed at gunpoint, and a church deacon was kidnapped.

Ghana’s High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, has assured that it will collaborate with the Church of Pentecost and the South African Police Service (SAPS) to ensure the swift and safe release of the CoP deacon.

In a statement issued on Monday, the High Commission of Ghana stated, “The Mission is currently working with the Church, in partnership with the South African Police Service (SAPS), to ensure the prompt and secure return of the victim to his family.”

It added, “Please be aware that the South African Police are fully committed to resolving this matter and are working diligently to ensure the safe return of our compatriot.”

As of now, the Church of Pentecost and Ghana’s Mission in South Africa have not officially released a statement regarding the latest developments.
