Eno Barony, Sista Afia, Empress Gifty, and Yadah Set to Electrify Africa Games Women’s Football Final

The Ghana Football Association is delighted to announce an exciting fan engagement package ahead of this evening’s Africa Games Women’s Football Final between perennial rivals Ghana and Nigeria in Cape Coast.

 

The epic match, involving West Africa’s eternal football rivals, has generated immense interest among fans of the two nations and across Africa.

 

As the Football Association looks to enhance fan experience at the match, it is bringing major stakeholders – women football clubs, celebrities, influencers, local and international artistes and supporters – together to generate excitement ahead of the final.

 

 

In a highly anticipated ‘showdown’, Ghanaian rapper Eno Barony, Ghanaian gospel artiste Empress Gifty as well as Nigerian singer, songwriter, and worship leader, Yadah, will perform at the Cape Coast Stadium before the match, at halftime and after the match.

 

 

Fan engagement activations will take place in selected cities across the country with giant screens placed at viewing centers for fans who would want to gather to watch the match.

 

In the Ghanaian capital, Accra, footballers and supporters from Women Premier League Clubs will converge at the Gold Coast Lounge to watch the epic final on a giant screen for optimal viewing.

 

 

Giants screens will be installed in other cities including Kumasi, Sekondi-Takoradi, Sunyani, Tamale and Techiman for unique fan experiences.

 

In Cape Coast, venue of the match, Ghana Women’s Premier League footballers will also converge at the Stadium to cheer the Black Princesses to victory.

 

 

The fan activation will provide an immersive experience with extensive social media engagement across all platforms of the Ghana Football Association.

 

 

Electrifying performances from Eno Barony, Sista Afia, Empress Gifty and Yadah will add a layer of excitement to the football festival.

 

The Ghana Football Association will continue to deploy several fan engagement approaches in forging stronger connection betweens fans and the game.

 

Ghana’s Black Princesses will battle their West African rivals Nigeria in a mouth-watering final of the 2023 African Games Women’s Football competition.
The game will take place at 20:00 GMT (8PM) today, Thursday, 21st March, 2024.
