ITF Africa Holds Cultural Diversity Dinner for Wheelchair Tennis Players in Johannesburg

The organizers of the ITF Johan Cruyff Africa Wheelchair Tennis Training Camp hosted a dinner to showcase the diverse cultures of participating countries.

 

The event took place on Friday, September 20, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

 

The Ghana Tennis Federation Wheelchair Tennis Junior Team, consisting of Emmanuel Amobire and Henry Adjapong, and led by Coach Philip Plange, was present at the event to represent the West African nation.

 

 

Dressed in their colorful Kente attire, the Ghanaians caught the attention of the entire crowd as they proudly showcased the rich culture of Ghana.

 

 

This was the first time the cultural night was organized, with the goal of highlighting the diversity and uniqueness of various African countries.

 

 

It also aimed to encourage junior players to learn from one another and develop cultural sensitivity. Additionally, the players were introduced to the ITF safeguarding policy during the event.
