FILM CRAFT EXPO OFFICIALLY MARKED AS AN ANNUAL GLOBAL FILM EVENT

Film Craft Expo, an initiative cultivated by the US Presidential Service Center Ambassador, Prince Kojo-Hilton of Hilwood Studio held its launch and maidan edition at Pleasant Gardens on 21st July 2023 to expatiate on the numerous career opportunities in the film industry as well as some measures to enhance the structures in the film industry in Ghana and across Africa.
Film Craft Expo initiative is fully endorsed by the National Film Authority NFA.

The event which aimed at showcasing the Art and Science of cinematic storytelling as well as promoting the trade and business of filmmaking was graced by renowned industry players such as Abdul Salam Mumuni of Venus films, Emmanuel Sarpong, Jonathan Eze Nwadinobi, Words by Makida, Ancient Ezikeil, Miss Sherrie Thompson Jake Ky Anderson, Lady Rebecca Donkor of Makeup Ghana, etc.

Some Institutions that exhibited at the event includes; National Film and television Institute NAFTI, Asanska University College of Design and technology, Africa Global Radio, YMCA Media Hub, Studio 502, VASEP Art Club, Film Crew Association of Ghana / NFA, E-Kuz Filmz, MWC Home of Fashion etc. exhibiting and demonstrating their excpetise and the relevance of their role in filmmaking.
A panel discussion that had some renowned personalities in the persons of Mr. Abeiku Sagoe, Amb. Prince Kojo-Hilton, Mr. Samuel Gyandoh, Miss Rabby Bray, and Miss Akofa Edjeani Asiedu.

The discussion which elaborated on some essential aspects of filmmaking; touched on the need to write and produce more African stories, marketing and distribution of films, and career and skill enhancement in the film industry.

Film Craft Expo will serve as a melting pot of ideas, innovation, and creativity by bringing together professionals, enthusiasts, and businesses from the film industry, both locally and internationally. This event not only highlights the art and aesthetics of cinematic storytelling but also focuses on the scientific advancements shaping the world of film-making.

The occasion which allowed numerous professional and young Visual Artists including filmmakers to exhibit their works came to a glorious end with lots of insightful knowledge in the arts and film space.
