Don’t ignore us, come to us for advice – Slim Buster tells new artists

-

Veteran Ghanaian singer Slim Buster has bemoaned the fact that new artists have ignored the older ones, refusing to seek their wise counsel and direction.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the singer indicated that the new artists have a lot to learn from veterans like him due to their experience and influence in the country’s music industry.

The renowned dancer added that older artists have always been ready to mentor the new ones but they seem not to be interested.

“I do Facebook live and I have said this same thing over and over but nothing has changed. The young ones have completely ignored the older ones and are going about their craft without care,” the ‘Masherita’ singer said.

He stated that the new artists have taken lots of decisions in the industry that do not sell.

“I hope that things will change and there will be more collaboration between the young and older ones. It does not necessarily have to be collaboration but it will be great if they come to us for advice concerning their craft. As I said earlier, we are more experienced and have so much to offer them whether they like it or not,” he stated.
