Cote d’Ivoire Set to Host First West African Festival of Arts and Culture

The first West African Festival of Arts and Culture (ECOFEST) is scheduled to transpire in Cote d’Ivoire from September 28 to October 5, 2024, as announced by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

 

This cultural extravaganza, meticulously orchestrated by ECOWAS and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), is geared towards the propagation of regional cultural heritage and the reaffirmation of shared values embraced by ECOWAS and UEMOA within the populace.

 

Ivorian authorities have articulated that the festival will serve as a catalyst, fortifying their cultural stewardship and expediting the execution of cultural policies and initiatives endorsed by governments and institutions across the sub-region.
