Afua Asantewaa’s Inspiring Response to Setback: ‘I’ll Keep Trying Until I Succeed

Despite the setback of disqualification due to rest break timing issues, Afua Asantewaa expressed resilience and commitment to her craft.

In an interview, with The Spectator Agoro, transcribed by Blogger Attractive Mustapha Afua Asantewaa debunked rumors of prior knowledge about her disqualification and clarified that she had no official document to share, emphasizing her inability to access her social media accounts.

She asserted her strong personality and vowed to continue pursuing her goals, learning from the experience.

Asantewaa issued a heartfelt apology to her fans in Ghana, thanking them for their overwhelming support. Despite Guinness World Records’ decision, the organization acknowledged her inspiration and wished her success in future attempts.

The evidence check process, initiated before Asantewaa’s priority service request, resulted in a refund of her earlier payment.

On December 29, 2023, Asantewaa achieved an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes of continuous singing, surpassing the previous record set in 2012.

Despite the unsuccessful attempt, her determination and talent have left an indelible mark on the record-breaking community, and she remains poised for future challenges.

“There is no way I could hold onto a result such as this. I am a very strong personality and I believe in not giving up and regardless of the outcome, be it successful or not I would have still shared with Ghanaians anyway,” she explained and cleared the air based on rumours that she had already been informed about her disqualification but she decided to keep it silent and away from the public

“As I sit here, I do not have an official document to even post on my social media that this is my disqualification letter, I can’t access my account,” she added.

“If I have to do it over and over again till I get it right, I would. There is a lot that I have learnt from the attempt and would work on it in my next challenge,” she stated.

She also apologised to Ghanaians for the unsuccessful attempt and expressed gratitude for the massive support and endorsement.
