25th TGMA Best New Artiste, King Paluta and Olive the Boy Set to Perform at ‘Ghana Party in The Park’, London

Since 2022 Charterhouse, organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) and Akwaaba UK, organizers of the Ghana Party in the Park, London, have been on a joint journey to providing winners of the Best New Artiste category of the Ghana Music Awards, a performance slot at the annual Ghana Party in the Park, London.

This year, the goal has been achieved; the 25th TGMA Best New Artiste, King Paluta, has been duly billed to perform at the Ghana Party in the Park, slated for Saturday 13th July, 2024, at the Oak Hill Park, London.

This year, however, Akwaaba UK, agreed to extend the opportunity to cover Best New Artiste nominee, Olive the Boy, who for many, was a strong contender of the Best New Artiste title at the 25th TGMAs. Thus, King Paluta and Olive the Boy will be performing alongside KiDi, Wendy Shay, Tulenkey and more who are billed for the show.

With attendees from all over the world, including music industry professionals and enthusiasts, this event provides a platform for artists to shine and gain international recognition.

According to Robert Klah, Head of Communications and Public Events for Charterhouse, “the UK is the 3rd largest music market in the world, after USA and Japan, so we are keen on getting our Best New Artistes on the stage of the Ghana Party in Park.

Since our agreement in 2022, we have had different challenges in making joint goal a reality. But this year, the goal has not just been achieved, it’s been exceeded. We don’t just have King Paluta performing on that stage; Olive the Boy, a Best New Artiste nominee has also been billed to perform to a diverse audience of approximately 10,000. I couldn’t be happier. Kudos to Dennis Tawiah and team Akwaaba UK. We look forward for more of such partnerships.”

Honoring the agreement is a true testament to Akwaaba UK’s dedication to supporting the growth of the Ghanaian music industry.

This does not only encourage other aspiring musicians but also helps establish a positive reputation for the country’s music scene on a global scale.

The exposure gained from performing at such prestigious event can open doors for collaborations, record deals, and opportunities to perform on even bigger stages.
