Veteran musician Sly Collins has thrown his support behind calls for people to remove hatred from their hearts and promote peace, unity and togetherness across Africa.
Reacting to a message from the Bloggers Association advocating for an end to hate, Collins said he fully supports the call, stressing the need for Africans to live together peacefully and work toward a better future.
In a passionate message titled “Blessed Africa,” the veteran musician described Africa as a blessed continent and urged its people to protect its peace and work collectively for development.
“Africa is blessed by the special grace of the Most High God. Africa is the best place for us all. Why the blindfolding? Live and let us live. Stop destroying Africa, because it is the land of peace,” Collins wrote.
He also called on African leaders to come together with genuine intentions and focus on issues that can contribute to the continent’s growth.
“Enough is enough,” he wrote, while encouraging Africans to support what he described as the ideals of H.E. JDM for the growth of Africa.
Collins further linked his message to a broader call for peace, highlighting the importance of peace in Africa, Ghana and the world.
“Africa + Peace, Ghana + Peace & The World + Peace. Asomdwe Nkoaa… Peace & Unity. We need my people,” he stated.
The musician also encouraged the public to enjoy patriotic music, particularly lyrics from Obiba, as part of his broader message of patriotism and unity.
Collins’ comments add his voice to ongoing calls for tolerance, peaceful coexistence and unity, with the musician emphasizing that Africans must play their part in protecting the continent and promoting a culture of peace.
