Musician Barosky Appeals for Help as He Struggles with Homelessness in Manchester, UK

Ghanaian musician Barosky, known for his collaborations with highlife musician Ofori Amponsah, has opened up about the difficult conditions he is currently facing in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The musician is reportedly homeless and has been sleeping outdoors in a deprived area, prompting concerns about his wellbeing and living conditions.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Barosky described the hardship he is experiencing, revealing that he sometimes struggles to access basic necessities, including food and a place to take a bath.

According to him, some individuals occasionally support him with food, but the assistance is only provided from time to time, leaving him in a vulnerable situation.

Barosky used the opportunity to appeal for help from individuals and organisations willing to support him. Among his immediate needs, he mentioned assistance with food and a plane ticket to enable him to return to Ghana.

The emotional interview has sparked concern among some Ghanaians, particularly those familiar with Barosky’s contribution to Ghana’s music scene and his work with Ofori Amponsah.

There have also been reports and claims linking Barosky’s current difficulties to alleged drug use following his relocation to the United Kingdom. However, such claims have not been independently verified and should therefore be treated with caution.

Barosky’s situation has once again highlighted the difficulties some migrants can face abroad when they lose access to stable accommodation, income and social support.

As he appeals for assistance to return home, concerns continue to grow over his wellbeing and the need for him to receive the support necessary to get back on his feet.
