“I Have Different Personalities Through My Dressing, But I Won’t Dress Like a Man on My Wedding Day — Presidooo
Popular Ghanaian TikTok creator and social media influencer Presidooo (@akosuadiqson) has shared the inspiring story behind her rise to fame, revealing how years of disappointment, unanswered dreams and faith in God shaped her journey.
Speaking in an interview with Abena Ghana on Adom TV, the lifestyle content creator, who is widely known for her engaging POVs and compound house story videos, addressed the public’s curiosity about her unique dressing style and personality.
According to Presidooo, her fashion choices are a reflection of her mood and personality.
“I change my outfits because I am one person with different personalities through my dressing. I have a double personality. I dress depending on the mood I’m in and the environment,” she said.
Reacting to her explanation, host Abena Ghana remarked that many people are often confused about who she really is because of her appearance.
“You make people confused. They want to know who you really are,” the host said.
Presidooo explained that she first gained popularity through her masculine or “boy vibes” appearance, which became her signature look on social media.
“I started with boy vibes and that’s what made people know me. But on my wedding day, I won’t dress like a man,” she clarified.
The influencer also reflected on her early life, revealing that she was born and raised in Sefwi Wiawso before relocating to Kumasi.
She disclosed that her academic journey was far from smooth, admitting that she failed her Senior Secondary School examinations three times.
“I loved learning, but I was also a sports girl. I was sent to school to represent my school in sports, so I focused more on athletics,” she explained.
After rewriting her examinations in Sefwi Wiawso, she finally passed. As the only daughter of her parents, they encouraged her to further her education at the university. However, she had different ambitions.
“I wanted to travel abroad instead of going to the university,” she said.
Her parents supported her dream by helping her acquire a passport and applying for a visa, but the application was unsuccessful.
Following the disappointment, she stayed home for nearly two years. During that period, her mother encouraged her to join the security services, leading her to purchase Immigration and Fire Service recruitment forms.
“I submitted the forms but I wasn’t called,” she recalled.
The repeated setbacks left her feeling hopeless.
“I lost hope in life and spent most of my time in my room. Because of my tomboy and gangster lifestyle, many men were afraid to approach me. One day, I prayed and asked God to do something in my life.”
Looking back, Presidooo believes everything happened according to God’s perfect timing.
“I later realised that God’s time is the best. Anything you do without God won’t work.”
She recounted how her breakthrough came unexpectedly after the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
While chatting with cousins at home, she noticed that her conversations always made them laugh.
“They told me I was naturally funny without even realising it.”
Encouraged by her family, her younger brother downloaded TikTok onto her phone, while one of her cousins taught her how to create videos.
She posted her first TikTok video and gradually began recording herself performing Daddy Lumba songs in her distinctive dressing style.
“Whenever I was home alone, I felt bored, so I started making videos. I began getting positive feedback, and everything started growing from there.”
Today, Presidooo says her life has changed significantly through content creation.
“It has been God. Through TikTok, I now get endorsement deals, contracts and interview opportunities. Things are much better than before. I also have people who support me, and God has been so good.”
She added that unlike her earlier years of struggling to leave Ghana, she no longer feels desperate to relocate abroad.
Concluding the interview, Presidooo advised parents to allow their children to pursue careers that align with their talents and passions.
“Parents shouldn’t force every child to go to school if they want to learn a trade. Education is important, but support your children in what they genuinely want to do and help them build on it.”
She also encouraged young people to remain prayerful.
“Everything you do without prayer won’t succeed. I love God, and I know how much He loves me.”
