Mohammed Raii Commits to Supporting Ghana’s Farmers and President Mahama’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda
The EEZZY Group Foundation, led by its Chief Executive Mr. Mohammed Raii, has reinforced its commitment to Ghana’s agricultural development by donating a brand-new Nissan pickup truck, 20 brand-new motorcycles and a brand-new agricultural tractor in support of the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration 2026.
The presentation, held at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Accra, attracted government officials, development partners, members of the farming community and the media, marking another milestone in the growing partnership between the private sector and Government to strengthen agriculture and food security.
The donation forms part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to improving the welfare of Ghanaian farmers and supporting President John Dramani Mahama’s Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, which seeks to modernize agriculture, improve productivity, create employment and ensure national food security.
Delivering his remarks, Mr. Mohammed Raii, Chief Executive Officer of EEZZY Group, described agriculture as the very foundation of human existence and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to supporting those who feed the nation.
“We are here today to present our humble gift to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Agriculture is life. Without agriculture, there is no nation and no future. Supporting our farmers means supporting every Ghanaian family.”
Mr. Raii expressed his sincere appreciation to Samson Deen, whom he credited for creating the opportunity for the Foundation to partner with the Ministry in supporting Ghana’s hardworking farmers.
“I would like to sincerely thank Samson Deen for giving us this opportunity to stand before you today and contribute to this very important national cause.”
He also paid tribute to President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a visionary leader committed to building a stronger future for Ghana.
“I have never seen a leader who thinks more about the future of this great country than President John Dramani Mahama. His commitment to agriculture and national development is inspiring, and we are honoured to support this vision.”
Mr. Raii concluded by reaffirming EEZZY Group Foundation’s readiness to continue partnering with Government in initiatives that improve livelihoods and promote sustainable national development.
The Foundation’s support includes:
• One brand-new Nissan Pickup Truck for the National Best Farmer.
• Twenty (20) brand-new motorcycles to support agricultural operations and National Farmers’ Day activities.
• One brand-new modern agricultural tractor with complete accessories, to further strengthen mechanized farming and reward agricultural excellence.
The latest donation complements other contributions already received by the Ministry and significantly enhances the prize package for this year’s National Farmers’ Day celebrations.
Receiving the donation, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, commended EEZZY Group Foundation for demonstrating exceptional corporate social responsibility.
The Minister announced that the National Best Farmer will receive one of the most rewarding packages in the history of the awards, including:
• A brand-new Nissan pickup truck.
• GH¢1.2 million cash prize.
• A brand-new agricultural tractor.
• Assorted modern farm inputs and equipment.
He further disclosed that the Ministry has also received two additional pickup trucks from other corporate organisations and a 50-seater bus for the Best Senior High School in Practical Agriculture.
Hon. Eric Opoku appealed to businesses, institutions and philanthropists across Ghana to emulate the example set by EEZZY Group Foundation by supporting the nation’s farmers ahead of the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration on 4 December 2026.
He assured the public that every donation received would be distributed transparently to deserving farmers, as was done during the previous year’s celebration.
The Minister also announced that the National Farmers’ Day Planning Committee, chaired by Hon. John Dumelo, will soon publish official bank account details to enable individuals and organisations to make financial contributions toward the celebration.
The donation by EEZZY Group Foundation sends a powerful message that the private sector has a vital role to play in transforming Ghana’s agricultural sector.
By providing modern equipment, mobility support and recognition for outstanding farmers, the Foundation is helping to improve agricultural productivity, motivate excellence and strengthen national food security.
As Ghana prepares for the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration under the theme “Our Farmers, Our Food, Our Future,” the partnership between Government and responsible corporate institutions such as EEZZY Group Foundation is expected to inspire greater investment in agriculture and ensure that the men and women who feed the nation receive the recognition and support they deserve.
