Media personalities from across Ghana gathered on Saturday, May 16, at the GNAT Hall for the 15th edition of the prestigious City Hills Foklex Media Awards, celebrating excellence and outstanding contributions in the country’s broadcasting industry.

Now in its 15th year, the Foklex Media Awards continues to recognize the hard work, creativity, and impact of radio and television professionals across all regions of Ghana. The 2026 edition brought together top presenters, DJs, commentators, and producers for a night of recognition and celebration.
In the Greater Accra Region, Akua Sonto of Kasapa FM emerged as a standout performer, winning both Morning Show Host of the Year and Female Newscaster of the Year. Other notable winners included Original GFA of Mothers FM as Sports Host of the Year, Abena Filla of Kasapa FM as Entertainment Show Host of the Year, and Bishop Agbey Jnr of Mothers FM as Drivetime Presenter of the Year. Ohemaa Woye Supa of Angel FM was crowned Radio Personality of the Year.
The Ashanti Region also showcased strong competition, with Sachiel Ibn Yaccub (MC) of Ultimate FM winning Morning Show Host of the Year, while Papa Pee of Boss FM secured Entertainment Show Host of the Year. Mr Berry of Ultimate FM took home Drivetime Presenter of the Year, and Maame Adwoa Nyanta Tandoh of Otec FM was named Newscaster of the Year.
In the Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, Akroma Deffour of Voice FM was awarded Morning Show Host of the Year, while Lady Ash of Agyapa Radio was recognized as Radio Personality of the Year. Abena Amponsaa Baaku of Free FM won Newscaster of the Year.
At the national level, Rev Ambassador of No. 1 FM was named Mid-Morning Show Host of the Year, while Efo Ganyo of Mothers FM earned Sports Pundit of the Year. Isaac Addae of Starr FM was honored as Radio Producer of the Year, and Mubarak Yakubu of Angel FM took home Radio Reporter of the Year.
Television personalities were also recognized, with Ofosu Clifford Sly of Homebase TV winning Morning & Political Show Host of the Year, while Bernard Kofi Sekyi of Mothers TV was awarded Sports Host of the Year. Abena Fokuo Yabaoh and Agya Mintah, both of Mothers TV, won Female and Male Newscaster of the Year respectively.
Other regions including Western, Central, Volta & Oti, and Eastern also saw their finest broadcasters honored. Winners such as Mr President of New Day FM (Western Region), Kwaku Mintah of Rich FM (Central Region), Ken Abraham of K FM (Volta Region), and Oheneba Nyansapo of Daakye FM (Eastern Region) were recognized for their excellence in morning show hosting.
The 15th City Hills Foklex Media Awards once again highlighted the depth of talent within Ghana’s media landscape, reinforcing the vital role broadcasters play in informing, educating, and entertaining the public. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to professionalism and innovation within the industry.
