Selly Galley celebrates Christening of her twins

Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo marked a significant milestone in her life on Saturday, August 31, with the christening of her twins, a boy and a girl

 

 

The emotional ceremony, held in Accra, was a celebration of resilience, love, and faith, following a nine-year struggle with infertility that the actress openly shared with her fans and followers.

 

 

In a heartfelt speech, Selly recounted the challenges she faced, including a painful miscarriage, which made her journey to motherhood particularly difficult. “Last year, I cried a lot, but it is all to the glory of God,” she said in a video posted on Instagram.

 

Reflecting on her 16-year relationship with her husband, Cartel Big J (Praye Tietia), Selly described the profound love they share and the emptiness they felt without children. “The bond that we know this is what completes us and our love… It was nine difficult years, but God did not shame us.”

 

 

Selly also addressed the hurtful comments she endured on social media, where she was often mocked for not having children. However, she expressed her gratitude for the double blessing of twins, which she believes is a testament to God’s timing and grace. “I did get pregnant along the way, but God said it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us there was something greater ahead. Now, here we are, celebrating double blessings.”
