Obaapa Christy to go back to school

Multiple award-winning gospel musician Christiana Twene, better known as Obaapa Christy, has revealed she was academically poor in school.

The situation, according to the musician, was so bad to the extent that she had to boycott her BECE results because she knew it wouldn’t go well.

Speaking to the Accra-based Rainbow FM today, August 26, monitored by Modernghana News, the “Wagye Me” singer intimated that if education was to be the only way to success, she would have been the poorest person on Earth.

“If God had blessed people because of their higher education, I would not be where I am today. God gave me something, and that is what I have done all these years,” he said.

She added sarcastically, “Mathematics was my best subject because God knew I would be wealthy and be counting money.”

Even though Obaapa Christy never liked education because she wasn’t good in school, she wishes she could still return to school.

”However, I have come to discover that education is important. You need a positive mindset to succeed. If I had that positive mindset, I think I would have made it. But it is not too late. I will be going back to school. It is not too late to go back to school,” said Obaapa Christy.
