Fanny Fay Akaminko beats Nollywood stars to win Best Actress

Talented Kumawood actress Fanny Fay Akaminko made Ghana proud after beating top Nollywood stars to win best actress in a supporting role at 2018 edition of ZAFAA Awards.

The actress has featured in over eighty movies including popular ones like Cocoa krakye, Nipa nni nkae, Susum police, Before noon, Sokode and others.

Speaking in an interview with after winning the award, she said that it has taken her too long to win an award because Most KUmawood producers do not submit their movies to award schemes outside Kumawood.

Fanny said she believes kumawood stars would have won lot of international awards if the producers were to be submitting their movies to the various awards schemes.

She however mentioned that she has received lots of accolades from her fans and thanked the producers of the movie titled “The list” through which she was awarded.

Talking about the film industry, she said that the film industry used to be better when she came in but now things are bit slow.
