Elizabeth Amoaa (Speciallady) becomes Rotary Global Hub President

UK based Ghanaian woman Elizabeth Amoaa popularly known as Speciallady has been appointed the President of Rotary Global Hub as of Friday 1st July 2022.

Rotary Global Hub is currently the fastest growing Rotary International club in the world.
The Rotary Global Hub brings people together in a purpose-built online environment to work towards making a difference in communities around the world.

Elizabeth’s journey started five years ago when she took the stance to become a woman reproductive health advocate after discovering her rare congenital abnormality and experiencing medical complications.

She happens to be the first black woman to share her story globally as a woman born with two wombs, two cervixes and two vagina canals and other reproductive health disorders.
She established Speciallady Awareness in 2017. It is a women reproductive health advocacy that raises awareness on women reproductive health and combat menstrual poverty.
Elizabeth continues to be the global voice for women and young girls suffering from gynaecological conditions.

Speciallady Awareness has successfully donated sanitary products and medical items worth thousands of pounds
and supported the delivery of essential medical care towards women with reproductive health issues.

Elizabeth has received awards and recognitions for her advocacy and philanthropic work from UK Women of the Year Awards, Ghana Outstanding Women Awards, SHE Awards, Women make Change Awards and Women 4 Africa Awards.
Her story has been published by UK Boots Health and Beauty magazine, JUNO Magazine, Closer France Magazine, USA Health magazine, Army & You Magazine, and Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland magazine.

Her story has been published on media platforms in over hundred countries.
Elizabeth has published her memoir entitled ‘The Unspoken Identity’.

Her book is currently available in the British Library, Meadville Public Library in Pennsylvania, Somerset County library, Crawford County Federated Library, Open library and being sold on many major book retailers globally.

Her works have been in line with the vision of Rotary Global Hub. Elizabeth is an inspiration to many women since her rare congenital abnormality and medical complications did not define her. She has rather broken the taboos surrounding reproductive health topics and have become a voice for women and girls suffering from gynaecological conditions.
Her current role as the President of Rotary Global Hub proves that Rotary International is a modern, vibrant, flexible, innovative and inclusive organization.

She accepts this new role will bring new opportunities and responsibilities but she is ready and welcomes it.
Her desire is for people to use their life challenges as motivational tools to become the best versions of themselves.
