Andy Dosty raises funds for underground artiste IKNA to support his music career

-

Popular radio presenter Andy Dosty amazed listeners of Hitz FM this morning on his show “Day Break Hit” after raising an appreciable amount of money for an underground musician called IKNA to support his music career.

The musician who was on the show to promote his music and talk about his career mentioned that he is very talented in the field of music but because he lacks finances and other forms of support, pushing his music in order to rise has been difficult.

IKNA shared experiences of his life as an underground musician including the fact that some sound engineers look down on him because he does not have sufficient funds to pay them and others also produce poor sound for him which affects the quality of his music.

IKNA mentioned in an interview monitored by Blogger and Journalist Attractive Mustapha NII Okai Inusah , that he is based in Kasoa also called as “Kas-city” by social media enthusiasts.

He seems to be a “jack of all trades”in his effort to acquire a better standard of living as he indicated which has made him a pupils teacher who specializes in Computer lessons from primary one to primary six, a plumber and others.

IKNA has managed to record a song titled “Ankonam” that basically talks about his life. He has summed all the hardships he is encountering in the song but he is not despaired as he believes things will get better with time.

The musician gave a chronology of how he lives “hand to mouth” and suppresses his appetite just to keep his dream of becoming a successful artiste alive.

“Today being a market day I don’t care about what to eat so I normally will buy gari, milk powder and other basic needs then invest the remaining little money I get into my music.”

His life story touched the presenter who gave him Ghc100 for his transportation and encouraged listeners to come on board and support the artiste to push his musical career. IKNA was overwhelmed as listeners sent him various amounts of money immediately Andy Dosty announced his Momo number.

Andy Dosty encouraged him to work hard, keep hopes alive and most importantly not forget where he is coming from.
