The final funeral rites and burial of the notable Ghanaian actor, Ekow Blankson, will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022

The one week memorial service for the late veteran Ghanaian actor Ekow Blankson took place on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Dressed in red and black clothing in keeping with Ghanaian tradition, mourners and sympathisers flocked to the Community 11 Presec School Park to offer condolences to Mr Blankson’s family.

In attendance were creative arts figures like Fred Amugi, Fiifi Coleman, Kalybos, Michael Afranie, Beverly Afaglo, and Prince David Osei.

Members of the Actors Guild and their President Bill Asamoah also came to show support.

During the ceremony, the bereaved family announced that the final funeral rites and burial of the notable actor will be held on Saturday, December 17.

According to a family member of the media star, the funeral services will begin at the Full Gospel Church, Community 1, followed by a reception at the Community 11 Presec School Park, all in the Tema metropolis.

It was also communicated that the ‘Checkmate’ star had asked that no one wears black at his funeral. Due to this, “a special cloth for the funeral, and all white for the Sunday service on December 18,” was announced.

The media executivd and commercial manager of GhanaWeb, died on Monday, 3 October 2022.

He had been rushed to the hospital after sickness the day before.

Much is not known about the cause of his death but he passed at 50 and is survived by a wife called Justina Naadu Blankson and children.
