Akua Amoakowaa, CEO of Groupe Jay N Jay and former winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, has raised concerns about the increasing prevalence of cyberbullying and the trend of sharing explicit content online.
In her view, the internet—particularly social media—provides a powerful platform for individuals to build positive, impactful lives.
She argues that using it to spread insults or nudity in pursuit of social media fame undermines this potential.
Amoakowaa explained that many who resort to online insults do so to gain attention, often without realizing that the negative image they create may push people away from associating with them.
“This is troubling because you might be well-known, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to financial success,” she said.
Encouraging users to share meaningful content, she praised figures like Teacher Blessing, who has gained substantial followers through uplifting messages. “We should emulate people like her rather than those who use insults,” she stated on ‘The Career Trail’ program on Joy Learning TV and Joy News.
