Speciallady Awareness Global, in collaboration with The TRIO Bridge Foundation, hosted an impactful event under the theme “Empowering for Impact: Promoting Accessible and Affordable Sexual & Reproductive Health Services.”

 

 

This event was designed to bring together leading professionals from various sectors of healthcare, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Nursing, Midwifery and Pharmacy. In addition to these experts, individuals with lived experiences shared their personal stories, highlighting the real-world challenges and successes related to accessing sexual and reproductive health services.

 

 

The event was held at The International House, St. Katerine dock in London, UK on Saturday, 24 August 2024 to be a landmark occasion in the pursuit of equitable healthcare.

 

 

The collaboration between Speciallady Awareness Global and The TRIO Bridge Foundation underscores a shared commitment to addressing the barriers that many individuals face in obtaining necessary healthcare services.

 

Sexual and reproductive health is a critical component of overall well-being, yet for many, these services remain out of reach due to factors such as lack of access, lack of awareness and advocacy. This event provided a platform for open and inclusive dialogue on how to overcome these obstacles, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the care they need.m

 

The speakers were Elizabeth Amoaa, a Reproductive Health Advocate & Author Mr. Jude Jose (FRCOG), Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist and Mr. Bright Gyampoh (MRCOG), Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgery Specialist, Doctor Jacqueline Bamfo specialises in Fetal Medicine, Preterm Birth, Small for gestational age fetuses and Lead for antenatal screening and Fetal Medicine and Dr Abena Agyapong a general practitioner (GP).

 

 

This event was moderated by Samantha Prosser a business consultant and President of Wesley Girls High School Old Girls Association UK & Ireland.

 

 

The event featured a series of discussions, presentations and workshops aimed at not only raising awareness but also formulating actionable strategies to make sexual and reproductive health services more accessible and affordable.

 

 

The expertise and insights shared by the attendees were able to lay the groundwork for future initiatives and collaborations that will have a lasting impact on public health.
