Economic Challenges Affecting Film Industry: Kafui Danku Urges Vote for Mahama for Change

Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku shared her concerns about the current state of the Ghanaian film industry and her hopes for its revival.

 

 

Speaking with host Doreen Avio, In a recent interview on Joy News’ “Let’s Talk Showbiz,” Kafui Danku emphasized the ongoing challenges of funding and distribution in the industry, noting that these issues have worsened over time.

 

 

She expressed frustration with the lack of progress but urged industry professionals to continue their efforts and explore new approaches to improve the situation.

 

 

Kafui Danku conveyed her optimism about potential improvements should the National Democratic Congress (NDC) return to power.

 

 

She praised former President John Mahama for his support of the arts and his vision for enhancing the industry, including plans for the implementation of 5G technology to aid content creation.

 

 

Kafui Danku highlighted John Mahama’s previous efforts to support veteran actors and expressed confidence that his leadership would bring positive changes to the sector.

 

 

Discussing her personal experiences, Kafui Danku revealed how economic challenges have impacted her work.

She recounted difficulties with fluctuating exchange rates and rising costs, which have affected her projects and financial stability.

The actress expressed hope that a change in government, with the NDC assuming leadership, would alleviate these issues and improve the overall economic environment.
