AKOSUA KONCEPTZ Makes History in London with First Polo Boat Party Featuring Iconic Tower Bridge Experience

400 guests witness iconic Tower Bridge opening as Akosua Konceptz sets sights on an elevated second edition

The inaugural Polo Boat Party on the Thames, held on Saturday, June 13 at Butler’s Wharf Pier, delivered a high-profile debut that blended luxury entertainment with one of London’s most recognisable riverfront experiences.

Organised by Akosua Serwaa Afriyie under her brand AKOSUA KONCEPTZ, the 6 PM to 11 PM event welcomed approximately 400 guests aboard a premium party cruise that was positioned as “better, bigger, classier, and more extravagant” than the typical boat party experience.

One of the evening’s defining highlights was the live viewing of the Tower Bridge opening from the water — a moment many guests described as the standout spectacle of the night. The experience was complemented by curated drinks service, food offerings, music entertainment, and on-board photoshoots, all designed to reflect a premium, upscale atmosphere.

Set against the backdrop of Butler’s Wharf Pier, the event marked a strong first edition for the concept, combining social lifestyle culture with London’s river heritage.

Following the event, the CEO of AKOSUA KONCEPTZ issued a reflective statement thanking guests, partners, sponsors, and supporters for what she described as a “historic success.” She confirmed that the first edition reached 400 attendees and acknowledged both praise and constructive feedback received from participants.

“Excellence is not a destination—it is our standard,” she stated. “Our second edition will reflect everything we’ve learned, with a more refined experience, smoother operations, elevated luxury, premium entertainment, and unforgettable moments from start to finish.”

She added that the team is not simply planning another event, but “creating an experience that raises the bar,” and announced that the second edition is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2027.

The statement has set expectations for an expanded and more polished return, as the Polo Boat Party positions itself as a developing fixture in London’s luxury event scene.
