Stonebwoy’s publicist, Gerrard Israel, has described Sarkodie and his management team’s actions of turning off Stoneboy’s mic on stage as highly disrespectful and wholly inappropriate.

He stated in a social media post, “It is unacceptable for anyone, not even an artist’s DJ, to attempt to interrupt another artist’s performance. This blatant DISRESPECT towards STONEBWOY should not be condoned.”

Gerrard Israel’s post is in connection with Sarkodie’s management team appearing on stage at the 2023 Tidal Rave concert at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel to halt Dancehall artist Stonebwoy’s performance, who according to them had exceeded his allocated time, causing delays for other scheduled artists.

This unfortunate action was taken in the presence of fans and event producers who couldn’t prevent it.

In the post captured by blogger and journalist Attractive Mustapha, the publicist added, “In the entertainment industry, adherence to schedules and set times is crucial. It is really disrespectful and not right at all for anyone, not even an artist’s DJ, to try and turn off another artist’s mic on stage while they’re performing.”
