Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur Trigmatic has revealed that smoking and womanizing have long been associated with the entertainment industry. However, he firmly stated that he does not engage in such behaviors.
Speaking on Accra FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo midmorning show with host Nana Romeo, Trigmatic addressed the perception that musicians are often either smokers or Casanovas. When asked why this stereotype persists, he responded, “I don’t smoke, I don’t even drink alcohol. I also control myself.”
The former radio personality acknowledged that smoking and womanizing have historically been linked to entertainment, saying, “It’s because of the history behind entertainment itself. That’s why I say there’s the music and the culture that comes with it.”
He further explained that musicians often serve as trendsetters, and sometimes, their influence is used to promote lifestyles that may include vices. Despite this, Trigmatic emphasized that he remains disciplined, choosing to focus on his craft and business endeavors rather than succumbing to such pressures.
Trigmatic’s remarks add to ongoing conversations about the influence of entertainment culture and the personal choices of artists in the industry.
