Award-winning musician Wendy Shay has boldly declared her intention to clinch the coveted Artiste of the Year award at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), describing the year ahead as her time to reign.
The singer made the declaration on Saturday night, December 13, while addressing fans at the BYK Concert. Radiating confidence, Wendy Shay said her rapidly growing fan base has positioned her strongly for the top honour in Ghana’s music industry.
“The love is so massive. I have seen my colleagues go wild over the TGMA Artiste of the Year, but next year is for the Queen,” she stated amid cheers from the crowd.
Wendy Shay further revealed plans to mark the milestone with a grand stadium concert, promising fans an unforgettable celebration should she secure the award.
