Lilwin Is the Most Talented Actor in Ghana’s History – Shuugé Knight Declares in London

Ghanaian actor and filmmaker, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has been honored with two major awards at the Global Stars Awards in London, winning Best Film Producer and Best Film in Africa.

The prestigious recognition was received on his behalf by Shuugé Knight, a Ghanaian-British international road manager and CEO of Ghana Western Achievement and Ghana Western Most Beautiful.

Delivering an emotional speech on stage, Shuugé Knight described Lilwin as “the most talented actor in the history of the Ghanaian film industry ever”.

While his bold comparison between Lilwin and veteran actor Agya Koo may spark debate, Knight emphasized that Lilwin’s contribution to Ghana’s movie industry is unique and unparalleled.

The awards ceremony also celebrated Lilwin’s director, who was named Best Film Director of the Year in Africa, further solidifying the team’s impact on African cinema.

In his remarks, Shuugé Knight highlighted Lilwin’s commitment to national development through both the arts and education. He cited Lilwin’s groundbreaking film A Country Called Ghana, his investments in the Great Minds International School, and other initiatives, including collaborations on projects such as the Ibrahim Traoré project, as proof of his dedication to building a lasting legacy beyond entertainment.

The recognition in London marks another milestone in Lilwin’s career and underscores his influence not only as a creative force in Ghana but also as a continental trailblazer in the African film industry.
