President Mahama appoints Abeiku Santana deputy CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority

Celebrated media personality and tourism advocate Abeiku Santana has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), a move aimed at furthering Ghana’s vision of becoming a top-tier tourism destination.

Known in private life as Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, he has long been a champion for Ghana’s tourism industry, leveraging his media influence to promote the country’s cultural heritage, festivals, and hospitality sector. His extensive experience in media, marketing, and tourism advocacy makes him a fitting choice for the role.
A certified tourism consultant, Abeiku Santana played a pivotal role in major tourism initiatives such as the “Year of Return” and “Beyond the Return” campaigns, which significantly boosted Ghana’s global tourism appeal. His appointment aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s agenda to expand the sector, create jobs, and attract investment.

In his new capacity, he is expected to lead innovative campaigns, strengthen partnerships within the industry, and enhance Ghana’s position on the global tourism map.
