The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with COCOBOD and Cocoa Processing Company, has announced the 2025 National Chocolate Week celebration under the theme “Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, Grow Ghana”, with a sub-theme “Chocolate for All: Taste, Share, and Care”.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, the event will take place from February 3 to February 14, 2025, highlighting the benefits of chocolate consumption and promoting Ghana’s cocoa industry.
The National Chocolate Day celebration was first instituted in 2005 to coincide with Valentine’s Day (February 14), aimed at increasing the domestic consumption of Ghanaian chocolate and cocoa-based products. The event also pays tribute to the hard work of cocoa farmers, whose dedication continues to make Ghanaian chocolate a globally recognized delight.
As part of the celebration, GTA’s regional offices will visit Pediatric Units in Regional Hospitals on February 14, sharing the joy of chocolate with young patients.
