A Plus Demands Urgent Update on Ahmed Suale Murder Investigation, Cites Involvement of Akufo-Addo Minister

Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, a musician and newly elected Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has called on the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to provide an urgent update on the investigation into the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale. In a statement shared on social media, A Plus revealed that he had previously been invited to the CID headquarters last year, where he disclosed significant information regarding the case.

According to A Plus, during the meeting, he identified a high-profile minister from the previous president Akufo Addo government as allegedly being involved in contracting assailants to carry out the murder of Ahmed Suale.

The musician turned politician also mentioned that he provided a credible source to the CID in the presence of the director.

A Plus expressed concern that the case seems to have been sidelined, and he urged the CID director to update the public on the progress of the investigation.

He emphasized the importance of transparency, noting that if no update is provided within 48 hours, he would use his authority as a Member of Parliament to summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on the case.

“If that fails, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter, including the name of the alleged perpetrator,” A Plus warned.

The Member of Parliament’s bold statement has raised eyebrows and further added fuel to the public’s calls for justice in the Ahmed Suale murder case, which remains unresolved years after the tragic event.

Stay tuned as developments unfold.
