Shatta Wale has put an end to the long-standing accusations of neglecting his mother by gifting her a new home.
The strained relationship between the musician and his mother, Elsie Avemegah, first came to public attention in years ago when she revealed she had been evicted from her East Legon apartment and had not seen her son in over five years.
The issue resurfaced this year, with reports suggesting the situation had worsened. Some critics even labeled Shatta Wale as “heartless” for his perceived lack of support.
In response, Shatta Wale defended his actions, highlighting the support he had provided his mother in the past, including gifting her four cars and renting her a home. He expressed frustration that his efforts were often overlooked or misrepresented.
However, in a video shared on December 3, 2024, Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, revealed that the team decided to resolve the matter permanently by purchasing a house for his mother. “In September this year, we noticed the conversations about this issue were settling down, and we felt it was the right time to make things right. The team was instructed to find a beautiful home for Shatta Wale’s mother, and they delivered,” Sammy Flex disclosed.
This gesture brings closure to a chapter that had long been a source of public scrutiny.
