Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has responded fiercely to allegations made by his colleague Mr. Beautiful, who accused him of intimidation and manipulation within the film industry. In a recent social media video, Agya Koo shifted the blame for Mr. Beautiful’s career struggles, urging him to hold former President John Mahama accountable for the challenges he faces, rather than attributing them to personal rivalries.
Ghanaian actor Mr. Beautiful opened up about alleged intimidation from fellow actor Agya Koo, shedding light on the challenges he has faced in the film industry in an interview days ago.
Mr. Beautiful claimed that Agya Koo has exerted undue influence over casting decisions, suggesting that if he were included in a film, Agya Koo would demand his removal. “Agya Koo intimidated me. When a movie is cast and I feature, he would instruct Miracle Films to remove me, else he won’t act. He claims ‘I was brought to challenge him and bring him down,’” Mr. Beautiful recounted, expressing how this situation has deeply affected him.
In response to these allegations, Agya Koo took to social media to refute Mr. Beautiful’s claims, urging him to reconsider the real reasons behind his struggles in the film industry.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Agya Koo advised his colleague to point the finger at former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, instead of attributing his career downturn to personal rivalries.
“Mr. Beautiful, blame Mahama for your dead career. He brought dumsor and nkoko nkete. Vote for Bawumia,” Agya Koo declared in his post, implying that political affiliations and their consequences have played a significant role in Mr. Beautiful’s current challenges.
