Zylofon withdraws from Ghana Film Industry Awards

Zylofon Media, the headline sponsor of the Ghana Film Industry Awards has officially withdrawn from the maiden edition of the Ghana Film industry awards.

This was communicated to Attractivemustapha.com by Ken Fiati who is a member of the board of directors for the awards.

According to him, Zylofon Media right from the on set were the main sponsors whiles industry players and some notable organizations like Ghana Actors Guild(GAG), Film Crew Association of Ghana(FICAG),Film Producers Association of Ghana(FIPAG), Creative Arts Directors Association of Ghana(CADAG), Ghana Academy of Film and Television Art(GAFTA) were supporting for its success.

He added that following the order by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to freeze assets of Nana Appiah Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of gold dealership company Menzgold, the organizers saw the need to suspend the sponsorship deal with Zylofon Media so the awards can move on smoothly without tension.

Ken Fiati added that the nominations for the event has been closed successfully today 1st February, 2019 with numerous nominations received from movie makers across the country.

As to when the event will be held he mentioned March and said the exact day will be announced later at a nominees party.
