VVIP & Tic Tac are nothing but disappointed artistes – Shatta Wale

The truth of the matter is that every generation blames the generation before them. So, it’s laudable for Dancehall giant, Shatta Wale to ask Ghanaians especially his following to forget about supporting music duo, VVIP and Tic Tac. To him, these musicians are nothing but disappointment when it comes to Ghana’s music industry.

Shatta Wale in a recent Facebook livestream blasted the aforementioned artistes for selling Ghana music for cheap in their hay days. That’s why the current crop of generational artistes are struggling to penetrate in the international front with Ghanaian music.

As a result, he called on the oldies to stop hating on the current musicians who are putting Ghana on the map because they failed the country in the past and the current generation will not sit and watch. In the video, Shatta Wale retorted that;

“I don’t see VVIP as stars because they failed Ghana. They sold Ghana for cheap and that has affected the music industry. Look at Zeal who always wears peoples village hat and will be making noise. Look at his beard like someone’s village career. When I see such people behaving so foolishly, I feel sad for them. They don’t understand the business of music and that is what I am fighting.”

Shatta Wale indicated that these oldies have failed the country and therefore there is the need for support for the new school including Kuame Eugene, KIDI and other great acts.

Well, off late, there has been series of rebuttals between Shatta Wale and Tic Tac where the former labelled the latter as not “SMART” artist in his hay days. Perhaps, all these rants are born out of personal sentiments.
