Trending Joyce Dzidzor Mensah video: Hear what she has to say

Controversial former AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, has defended her decision to raise funds for the National Cathedral.

A video of Ms Mensah carrying a yellow bowl begging for money in a train in Europe has gone viral on social media.

Speaking sarcastically to those aboard the train, Joyce Dzidzor explained that the country was in dire need of 100 million dollars to put up a church building where God would reside in order to help solve the country’s numerous problems.

Her conduct has been condemned by many who believe the former AIDS Ambassador is denting the name of Ghana.

But speaking on Adom FM‘s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday, Ms Mensah said she was only being a citizen and not a spectator.

Ms Mensah’s comments were an apparent reference to President Akufo-Addo’s charge for Ghana to be “citizens and not spectators”.

She explained that her decision to solicit for funds is to ensure the National Cathedral is built within the shortest possible time.

“I see the National Cathedral as a priority because I believe God can solve our problems. My conduct is not to paint a bad picture about Ghana,” she opined.
