THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT

KEY TEXT:“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Matthew 25:21 NIV

God gives gifts, not miserly, but abundantly! And he doesn’t give gifts randomly, but carefully– “to each according to each one’s unique ability” (Matthew 25:15). Remember, no one else has our talents. No one. God elevates you from common-hood by matching your unique abilities to custom-made assignments.That is why our challenges in this world are different, each according to their God given abilities and talents.

“Well done, good and faithful servant,” Jesus will say to some (Matthew 25:23). Maybe your dad never praised you or your teachers always criticized you, but God will applaud you. And to have him call you good… well, when he does, it counts! Only He can call bad sinners like myself good. And only he can make the frail faithful. “Well done, good and faithful…” The point? Use your uniqueness to take great risks for God! The only mistake is not to risk making one!
We are to remain busy in His work. He has provided the means and the opportunity for all of us to show our dedication to Him. When the master eventually returned according to the key texts and examined the work that had been done in His absence, He commended some of His servants with the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” The master required, recognised, and rewarded faithfulness. This is true of our great Master, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Saviour would have us serve Him with our whole heart. He does not demand great skill or great strength, but He does expect loyal commitment. Having put our hand to the plough, we must not look back.
No matter how short, tall, beautiful, intelligent, soft spoken, how good we are with languages ,it is supposed to be harnessed to populate heaven.
Every one has to put their hands to the wheel for Jesus.God knows why He made you plumpy and another slim.He knows why He gave you the opportunity to school outside and others schooled in Ghana. He made you wealthy for a purpose. He gave you  contacts for a purpose. The one with 5 talents is equally as important as the one with just one talent.Remember,it was given according to their ability and uniqueness.
I write these words just at the time people struggle to recieve worldly rewards.People pay their way to gain the acceptance and honor of men. But these wooden or sometimes glass plaques and citations are nothing in comparison to the declaration from the Lord of Lords that we have been faithful servants to Him. There is no greater honour than to receive the praise of the One who loved us and gave Himself for us. Let us labour today with whatever we have, just as we are and every day of our lives for the “Well done” of God.

Prayer: Father, grant me the ability to use my talents to your honor.

I love you all and may God bless you.

Regards,

Pastor Asante
