Elizabeth Amoaa’s journey is one of triumph over personal trauma, emerging as a renowned advocate for impactful change. Born with a rare congenital abnormality known as uterus didelphys (two wombs, two cervixes, and two vaginal canals), along with other reproductive health disorders like stage 4 endometriosis and fibroids, Elizabeth used her experiences to advocate for women facing similar challenges.

She penned “The Unspoken Identity – The Woman with Two Vaginas,” a book narrating her journey and shedding light on reproductive health issues.

The book has been approved by The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) in Ghana to be used as supplementary educational material in Senior High Schools. The book is currently available in over 500 libraries and universities worldwide, including esteemed institutions like the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, British Library, Los Angeles County Library, Askews and Holts Library Services Ltd (UK), Bournemouth University Library (UK), Padmore Research Library (Ghana Library Authority), University of Surrey Library (UK), Universität Marburg Universitätsbibliothek (Germany), Norwich University Kreitzberg Library (USA), Montclair State University Harry A. Beyond her advocacy, Elizabeth has over 20 years of diverse professional experience, spanning banking, legal, recruitment, NGOs, advocacy, and the British Forces. Her accolades, including awards from prestigious bodies in Ghana, Ethiopia, and the UK, underscore her impact and dedication.

In 2017, Elizabeth founded “Speciallady Awareness,” an NGO in Ghana aimed at raising awareness about reproductive health disorders and providing support to those in need. The NGO has made a tangible difference in communities across Ghana. The NGO has generously donated medical supplies valued at £120,000 to healthcare units. Additionally, Speciallady Awareness has provided sanitary products to over twenty-five thousand schoolgirls in various communities in Ghana.

Elizabeth’s legacy is one of resilience and empowerment, inspiring others to overcome adversity. Her advocacy work continues to break down barriers and challenge societal norms, reminding us of the transformative power within each individual.
