THE BATTLE OF THE MIND -Part 2

KEY TEXTS:Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:35‭-‬36 NIV

I saw a video of a soccer team whose supporters were carrying its players to the field of play because they had been told that the opposing team had sprinkled concoctions on the field and that if they stepped on them they would loose the match. This clearly was the devil playing and messing with their minds. When others were busily training hard to win trophies, they were busily over indulging in superstitious thoughts.
Why do we fear the devil more than God?When a man visits the fetish and is given instructions, he is apt in following them than following the instructions given in the house of God.The devil exists and indeed is wicked but truth is he only operates within the space one gives him.The bible instructs us to resist the devil and he will flee.
He finds his way into our minds and causes us to see more of him and less of God.Thats his modus operandi.
Proverbs 23:7 tells us that “as a man thinks in his heart,so is he”
The devil roars like a lion .He is not the lion himself yet we accord the him the fear we should accord the Lion.Jesus Christ is the only lion of the tribe of Judah. The devil only seeks attention by making himself so important in our minds.
The devil started this trick right from the garden of Eden when he played mind games on Eve until she disobeyed God.In Numbers 13,when God had taken His people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and promised them Canaan,a land flowing with milk and honey, this same devil started his mind work on the spies that Moses sent to search the land.Just read what they said about themselves-“And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers 13:32‭-‬33 KJV

So God led them out of Egypt to a land that had giants that made them look like grasshoppers??Seriously??If God brought them there,it means they were able to take it,all that was left was for them to condition their mind and kick out the devil playing games up there!!If God brings you to see another day,it means you are able to conquer and take over the good things in the day.
Caleb had a Godly mind and he said”And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:30 KJV

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

If the Son shall set us free, the indeed we are free. The rest is for our minds to accept our liberty so the body walks boldly in it.
I like it when the reggae musician Bob marley said in his song “redemption song”;

“Emancipate yourself from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds”

Beloved, let your mind accept that you can do it and indeed you will. You are an overcomer and indeed you will be.Let the mind of Christ control our thoughts and our very being.Let it control our utterances as well.God brought us here because we are able to possess what is ahead of us.
Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus……..Phil 2:5.

Finally,And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7 KJV

Prayer:I rebuke any spirit that manipulates my mind and causes me to see less of God in Jesus’name.

I love you all and may God bless you.
