SUPPORT YOUR OWN! DJ Ashmen Presents 80% Local Content On ‘SMB’ On Zylofon FM

There’s been so much talk on Ghanaians not supporting their own, with regards to the play of Ghanaian music on the airwaves and the DJs have come under some heap of criticism over the low presence of Ghanaian songs on the playlist – but DJ Ashmen wants to change the narrative, www.entertainmentgh.com just noticed with joy!

Real name, Michael Mensah Ashley, DJ Ashmen has made a name for himself in the DJing ‘undeground’ and has steadily broken into mainstream albeit having more to do to cement his name, and thankfully, he has the platform to shine – Zylofon 102.1FM.

DJ Ashmen is in control of the ‘After Drive’ show on Zylofon FM, ‘Serious Music Business’ (SMB) and he has, arguably the longest duration for any slot on nationwide radio – 6 solid hours!

In utilizing the many hours, www.entertainmentgh.com notes that SMB and DJ Ashmen will dedicate 80% of the show’s playlist to Ghanaian music from 6pm to 12am.

DJ Ashmen started radio in 2008 with the defunct Great 93.1FM, now Class FM. He moved to Kojo Antwi’s Breeze FM, then to Okay FM, where he was assigned to Abeiku Santana’s ‘Ekwanso Dwodwo’ drive show. Radio 360 was the last platform he worked on until this new venture, SMB, on Zylofon 102.1FM.
