One person killed at this year’s ‘Chale Wote Festival’

For the first time in the history of the ‘Chale Wote Festival’ death has been recorded,

The ‘Chale Wote Festival’ which comes off every year at James Town suburb of Accra has been dented with the said news.

According to information gathered by YEN.com.gh, the deceased (identity yet to be revealed) who per information is a thief robbed the now arrested person (identity yet to be revealed) of his phone and the latter in defending himself to get his phone back attacked the former with a broken bottle.

YEN.com.gh gathers that, the deceased suffered severe injury, a severe cut beneath his throat. He failed to survive as he died on the spot.

The person, who killed the suspected thief is now at the James Town police station, however, investigation into the case has began.

The dead body has been deposited at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital morgue.

This year’s ‘Chale Wote Festival’ is the 7th edition, the festival includes street painting, photo exhibitions, interactive installations, a food and fashion market place, live street performances, extreme sports, African film shows, street boxing, a fashion parade, a music block party, recyclable design workshops and much more.
