No Zylofon worker paid the GHC8,400 fine, Dblack & others did’ – Wisa debunks rumours

There was an earlier story published yesterday which stated that the head of communications for Zylofon Cash, Halifax Ansah Addo had rescued Wisa from going to jail to serve 24 months by paying Ghc10,000 for his fine.

Several other portals had also reported the news, and lots of people thanked Halifax for his good heart and kindness but Wisa Gried has come out to say that his fine was never paid by Halifax.

Yesterday, April 30th, the Accra circuit court found Wisa Gried guilty of showing his penis publicly to a crowd when he was performing at the 2015 edition of Citi Fm’s Decemba2Remeba, at a time when he had a major hit, titled ‘Ekiiki Mi’.

He was charged with gross indecency and was fined an amount of Ghc8,400 or face 24 months in prison should he fail to pay the amount.

Wisa Gried has on his official Instagram account debunked all the reports that it was a ZylofonCash employee in the person of Halifax Ansah Addo, who paid his fine.

According to Wisa, the fine was paid by himself, his boss Dblack of Avenue Muzik and also some people at the Ghana Tourism Authority.

He was emphatic that Zylofon nor any staff from Zylofon did not pay his fine and explained that Halifax happens to be a friend and called to offer his assistance and that he never knew he even worked for Zylofon.

“I want to categorically state that my fine was paid by myself, CEO of Black Avenue Muzik ‘D BLack’ and our friends at the Ghana Tourism Authority who support the creative arts.

“Zylofon didn’t pay my fine nor did anyone from Zylofon. My friend Halifax called earlier today to offer assistance as a friend. I’m surprised to see stories flying about tagged Zylofon rescues me and pays my fine.

“I didn’t even know Halifax as [was] a staff of Zylofon. I knew him as a friend”, he added.
