Mzbel says she feels “vindicated” by Rev Josh Laryea’s suspension

Musician Mzbel says she feels vindicated after the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) suspended Rev Josh Laryea for indiscipline.

Although the church did not give reasons for his suspension, multiple media reports alleged that the suspension is related to sexual advances he made to some female church members.

But why would Mzbel feel vindicated in this issue? A bit of history lesson will help.

She is a former member of ICGC and now a practicing Harichrisna. Her best friend used to be Afia Swarzenagger, the controversial actress cum radio host.
Earlier, Afia Swarzenagger took to her Instagram page to accused Laryea of molesting someone she knows, adding that the victim has become an unbeliever because of the act.

At long last your cup is full…you molested someone I know and made her not to believe in Christianity …God truly answers….you see your life??,” she wrote on her Instagram page in response of Laryea’s suspension.

And that person, according to media reports, is Mzbel, known in private life as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah.

In a Facebook post Friday, she captioned a photo, “Eugene Zuta and Edem, u guys owe me an apology! As for Mrs Awo Zuta aka Tse Ataa’s favourite pet, the least said the better… and to those of u who judged and condemned me after I quit the church, go find the biggest Rock and bring it to me!!! There is a God! #Vindicated #Mercy”

Laryea who is also a gospel musician has been asked to step aside for investigations to be conducted into the alleged indiscipline.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the Doxa Temple in Labone where he is a pastor.
